We are seeking a skilled #Web #Frontend #Architect to lead the evolution of our web frontend ecosystem. Your work will directly impact #Etsy’s buyer and seller experiences (desktop and mobile web). The ideal candidate is a technical expert with a deep understanding of frontend technologies and architectural patterns for ecommerce #systems. This is a full-time position reporting to an Engineering #Director in the Enablement department. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. __ Define and drive the frontend architecture and #technical roadmap __ Provide technical leadership to frontend developers through code reviews, architecture discussions, and mentoring __ Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers __ #Design scalable, maintainable, high-performance frontend application architectures using modern frameworks (React emphasis; knowledge of Vue.js, Angular also valuable) __ Ensure contextually appropriate practices in accessibility, performance, security, and responsive design __ Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks to keep the frontend stack modern and efficient __ Establish and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and performance benchmarks __ Oversee the #integration of frontend and backend (API) architectures __ Document architectural decisions, technical guidelines, and frontend infrastructure components
