Driller / Foreur Job Summary / Résumé du poste English The Driller is responsible for the daily operation of drilling equipment in the quarry. He ensures the execution of blast holes in accordance with the drilling plan, specified depths, and production targets, while maintaining equipment reliability and operational efficiency. Français Le Foreur est responsable de l’exploitation quotidienne des équipements de forage au sein de la carrière. Il assure la réalisation des trous de mine conformément au plan de forage, aux profondeurs spécifiées et aux objectifs de production, tout en garantissant la fiabilité des équipements et l’efficacité des opérations. Key Responsibilities / Principales Responsabilités English Operate tracked or truck-mounted rotary drilling machines. Drill blast holes according to specified depth, diameter and alignment. Position drilling equipment in line with staking instructions. Verify drilling quality and compliance with technical specifications. Assist in loading blast holes with explosives (if certified). Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance. Report mechanical faults or operational anomalies. Contribute to achieving production targets. Coordinate with Mining and Maintenance teams. Français Conduire et opérer des foreuses rotatives à chenilles ou montées sur camion ; Réaliser les trous de mine selon les profondeurs, diamètres et alignements spécifiés ; Positionner les équipements conformément au jalonnement ; Contrôler la qualité et la conformité des forages réalisés ; Participer au chargement des trous de mine en explosifs (si habilité) ; Effectuer les inspections journalières et la maintenance de premier niveau ; Signaler toute anomalie mécanique ou opérationnelle ; Contribuer à l’atteinte des objectifs de production ; Collaborer avec les équipes Mines et Maintenance. Profile Required / Profil recherché English Primary school certificate minimum. Technical training in heavy equipment operation (asset). Minimum 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment. Experience in quarry or open-pit mining operations. Knowledge of drilling and blasting techniques. Ability to read and interpret drilling plans. Strong sense of responsibility and discipline. Teamwork and operational rigor. Français Certificat d’études primaires minimum ; Formation technique en conduite d’engins lourds (atout) ; Minimum 5 ans d’expérience en exploitation d’équipements lourds ; Expérience en carrière ou mine à ciel ouvert ; Connaissance des techniques de forage et dynamitage ; Capacité à lire et interpréter un plan de forage ; Sens des responsabilités et discipline ; Esprit d’équipe et rigueur opérationnelle.
