Position: Senior Bookkeeper Working Hours: US Hours (9am-5pm EST) Full-Time, Remote Work. Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations. Prepare and generate monthly financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Mentor and train junior bookkeeping staff, providing guidance on best practices and processes. Implement and maintain effective accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. Perform regular audits of financial transactions and reports to ensure integrity and compliance. Assist in budget preparation and forecasting to assist management in strategic decision-making. Act as a liaison with external auditors and stakeholders, providing necessary documentation and information. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards that impact practices. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting positions, with a strong background in financial reporting. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills. Deep understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines. Strong leadership and mentorship abilities to guide junior team members. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to handle sensitive financial information with integrity and confidentiality.
