Job Title: Credentialing Specialist Job Type: Full-Time, Remote Hours: US Hours (9am-5pm EST) Responsibilities Manages provider credentialing and recredentialing with payers and networks Collects, verifies, and maintains clinician licenses, certifications, and required documents Submits and tracks applications for BCBAs, RBTs, and supervising clinicians Ensures compliance with payer, state, and regulatory requirements Monitors expiration dates and proactively renews credentials Maintains accurate credentialing records and supports audits Coordinates with billing, HR, and clinical leadership to prevent service delays Receiving new hire and termination updates Verifying licenses and certifications from onboarding files Aligning start dates with payer approval Alerting HR to expirations or issues Sharing credential status for staffing and payroll Previous experience in provider credentialing, ideally within an ABA, healthcare, or behavioral health setting. Knowledge of insurance enrollment processes and common payer requirements. Strong administrative and organizational skills with high attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple applications and deadlines simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace; experience with credentialing software is a plus. Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
