Job Opening:  Bookkeeper Location:  South Africa (Remote – US Hours) Type:  Full-Time, Work from Home Hours:  Monday to Friday (3pm-11pm SAST) Pay:  Monthly USD Salary Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable  Bookkeeper  to manage day-to-day financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and support the finance function of the business. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and experience working with accounting software. Key Responsibilities: Record and maintain financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, and payments). Process invoices, reconciliations, and payments. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions. Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets. Assist with payroll processing. Support auditors and accountants with month-end and year-end closing. Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records. Requirements: Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar). Strong understanding of accounting principles. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office tools. Relevant qualification in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance (advantageous). Personal Attributes: Trustworthy and ethical with confidential information. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Salary and Benefits Comfortable working U.S. hours Remote work Paid in USD
