Software Engineer–Developer (Mid-Level/Experienced) Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Software Engineer–Developer to support our Engineering Analytics team l o cated in Seal Beach, California. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) National Systems Programs (NSP) software capability .   The ideal candidate will develop and maintain data analysis tools and environments. The y will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to continuously improve software solutions, ensure engineering excellence, and achieve program objectives .   Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level and Experienced Level Software Engineers.     Position Responsibilities:       Develop, test, and maintain software applications that meet industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards.   Review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into initial design of software products.   Develop, maintain , enhance, and optimize software products and functionalities for systems integrations.   Develop, document, and m aintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, i nterfaces and designs for software products.   Participate in the agile software development lifecycle including planning, reviews, and supporting customer meetings.   Analyze, characterize, debug and resolve performance related issues to ensure reliability and efficiency of software products.   Handle user inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, and analyze user feedback.   Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes in regulations relevant to software development.   Develop, establish , monitor, and improve software processes, tools, and key performance metrics that align with organization goals and industry benchmarks.   Execute and document software research and development projects.   Advise on software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.   Perform software project management activities and software supplier management functions.   Track and evaluate software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process compliance to project plans and industry standards.   Perform cost benefit analysis to help guide technical solutions   Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):   1+ years of experience in Python scripting   1+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines   Experience with software development using agile principles and a structured development process   Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):     Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.   Level 2: 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience   Level 3 : 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience   Active TS/SCI w/ adjudicated polygraph   Experience with Java and Javascript /React   Experience with Kubernetes   Experience with databases, Linux, and mTLS     Drug Free Workplace:   Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace (DFW) where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.     Travel: Travel is not anticipated for this position.   CodeVue Coding Challenge:     To be considered for this position you will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process.
