OVERVIEW At Mastercard, our Business & Market Insights (BMI) division empowers customers across diverse sectors such as financial institutions, retail, telecommunications, and travel. We're seeking a Senior Specialist to join the Global Product Management (GPM) team in our Portfolio Intelligence program within BMI. GPMs at Mastercard are responsible for building, launching and scaling products globally across all our five regions. This role will report into the Director of Product Management, and you’ll be working on supporting a new and strategically important data-as-a-service product for our program and Mastercard. About Product Management at Mastercard: As part of our team, you'll shape products and solutions that deliver profound customer value. You'll balance long-term product strategy with current demands, understanding technical, competitive, and commercial landscapes. Collaborate cross-functionally, ensuring commercial success alongside technical excellence, and craft globally relevant, scalable solutions that cater to diverse customer segments. ROLE Provide support in refining product concepts, features, and requirements Translate client and stakeholder needs into product features and data requirements Work with data engineering and analytics teams to define new metrics / KPIs to form part of the product, run data quality checks, etc. Work with Technical Program Manager and engineering partners on prioritization of features and data requirements Perform hands-on data exploration to assess feasibility and support technical evaluations Participate in GTM strategy and roadmap development, providing input on technical feasibility and delivery readiness Support commercialization activities through pricing analysis, competitive benchmarking, value articulation, etc. Support end-to-end POC delivery, partnering with internal teams across data, sales, engineering, regional product. Support in developing and maintain product artifacts including sales and enablement materials, data dictionaries, methodology docs, one-pagers, capability overviews, pitch decks, etc. Support risk, compliance, and privacy reviews by preparing documentation and coordinating responses with internal partners. Support balancing long-term product direction with current priorities by learning technical, competitive, and commercial contexts ALL ABOUT YOU • Payments/banking expertise and experience • Customer centric: strong focus on delivering customer value and experienced in building strong customer relationships • Natural problem solver: analytical, curious with a “can-do” attitude; solutions-oriented skillset and fact-driven approach to product development • Collaborative team player: proven track record in collaborating with multiple cross-functional (both internal and external) teams across multiple locations; exceptional in facilitating challenging conversations and managing ambiguity • Attentive to details with an ability to understand and manage both operational and client management processes • Experience in agile delivery methodologies (scrum, Kanban, etc.) • Organizational skills and project management: ability to deal with multiple and competing priorities, structure and manage work streams, set clear expectations and deadlines • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: ability to engage and influence at all levels, make the complex simple and interface with senior leadership • Excellent data skills (e.g., SQL, Excel) to query datasets, support analysis during product development and POCs, etc. • Experience in managing analytical solutions designed for payments or related financial services sectors preferred • Experience designing, executing and distilling user research to drive value for the customer, an outstanding user experience and stickiness a plus Corporate Security Responsibility Every person working for, or on behalf of, Mastercard is responsible for information security.
