The   O pportunity:   AIA now has fantastic permanent opportunities for Senior   Underwriter to join our team.   You will join a high performing and supportive team of Underwriting professionals dedicated to promoting growth and development within your role and who are passionate about delivering great outcomes for our customers.   The successful candidate can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane .   To do this successfully you will:   Underwriting assessments within personal authority levels   Maintain individual service level,   productivity   and quality targets   Approval of referrals within authority levels   Strong adviser communication and relationship building   Promote and drive a culture of extracting quality information from advisers and clients or any third party via tele-collection of information   Strategic development of Underwriting practices, processes, reduced requirement requests (e.g. PMAR) and cancellations rates, end-to-end cycle time   targets   and tele-underwriting excellence.   Build and   maintain   strong relationships with reinsurers to gain industry knowledge on best practice underwriting capabilities.   Successful applications will   demonstrate :   Extensive Life Insurance Underwriting Experience   ANZIIF Cert IV in Life Insurance (or   equivalent )   ALUCA CPLI Accreditation (preferred)   Able to   demonstrate   standard process in Underwriting   Strong written and verbal communication skills   Sound medical and financial knowledge   Sound Customer Service Skills   Why choose AIA:     At AIA,   we’ve   made a promise to help people live healthier, longer, better lives.
