The Role As a Cloud Architect – GCP, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and reliable solutions on Google Cloud Platform. You will lead technical assessments, develop cloud management architectures, and ensure compliance with data protection and security frameworks. This role requires collaboration with development and infrastructure teams, applying agile methodologies and leveraging CI/CD tools to deliver robust enterprise solutions. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement cloud solutions on GCP for production workloads with high reliability, scalability, and security • Perform technical assessments and develop cloud management architectures and reference models • Identify and apply security and compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR, ISO27001, CIS) • Ensure the security of the cloud environment by defining identity and access management policies (IAM) • Build and manage container architectures with Kubernetes, EKS, Docker • Develop automation solutions with Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent scripting tools • Manage on-premises and hybrid cloud data centers with automation and orchestration frameworks • Use software lifecycle management tools such as Jira, Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Confluence • Collaborate with technical leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver solution designs and technical roadmaps What We Offer • Opportunity to architect cutting-edge cloud solutions for enterprise clients in diverse industries • Hybrid work model with flexibility depending on business needs • Career path toward Distinguished Engineer or Technical Leadership roles • Access to advanced multi-cloud training and certification programs (AWS, Azure, GCP) Your future at Kyndryl At Kyndryl, professionals like you are empowered to shape the future of enterprise technology. Required Technical and Professional Expertise • 4+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing cloud solutions on GCP. • Strong practical knowledge of core GCP services, such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud DNS, and VPC. • Proven experience delivering scalable cloud infrastructure in enterprise environments. • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation (Terraform preferred; Ansible as a plus). • Experience with container-based architecture (Kubernetes / GKE, Docker). • Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and lifecycle management tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence). • Ability to work effectively in customer-facing delivery contexts. Preferred Technical and Professional Experience • Exposure to data, analytics, and AI/ML workloads on GCP (e.g. BigQuery, data pipelines), from a cloud infrastructure and delivery perspective. • Exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure), in addition to GCP, within enterprise delivery contexts. • Cloud certifications such as GCP Professional Cloud Architect (preferred), or AWS / Azure Professional Cloud Architect, as well as Kubernetes-related certifications. • Exposure to hybrid infrastructure environments (VMware, PowerVM, Hyper-V). • Experience collaborating within delivery teams, working closely with engineers and architects in hands-on cloud delivery and customer-facing projects. #AgenticAI Being You The “Kyn” in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
