The Opportunity This position works out of our Bogota. The Country Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of all facilities within the country. The role combines hands-on operational execution with vendor oversight, budget control, and stakeholder support to ensure reliable workplace environments and uninterrupted business operations. SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS: Facility Operations & Maintenance Oversee daily operation of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, security, access control, among others). Manage preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance programs across all sites. Conduct regular site inspections to identify risks and improvement opportunities. Respond to operational incidents and coordinate timely resolution. Vendor & Contract Management Manage and evaluate third-party service providers at country level. Monitor SLA and KPI compliance; implement corrective actions when required. Support contract negotiations to ensure optimal service and cost efficiency. Review and validate vendor reports, schedules, and invoices. Budget & Resource Administration Manage the annual facilities operating budget for the country. Track expenses, forecast needs, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Provide technical and operational input for CapEx planning and execution when applicable. Workplace Experience & Stakeholder Support Act as the primary facilities contact for internal stakeholders. Ensure high-quality workplace services (cleaning, reception, office services). Communicate operational updates, maintenance activities, and project impacts. Coordinate closely with HR, IT, Finance, EHS, Procurement, and local leadership. Compliance, Safety & Documentation Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, EHS requirements, and corporate standards. Maintain accurate documentation, permits, logs, and audit records. Support audits, inspections, and risk assessments. Space Management & Office Movements Oversee space allocation, seating plans, and minor office reconfigurations. Coordinate office moves, refurbishments, and small facility projects. Optimize space utilization based on business needs and occupancy trends. Continuous Improvement & Operational Efficiency Identify and implement opportunities to improve facility processes and services. Apply root-cause analysis to prevent recurring operational issues. Support standardization and best-practice implementation. Risk Management & Business Continuity Identify facility-related risks and implement mitigation plans. Activate emergency and contingency procedures when required. Ensure rapid service recovery to protect business operations. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or related field. ·        Fluent English (spoken and written). Preferred Qualifications: 5– 8 years of experience in Facilities Management, building operations, or technical environments.
