Title: Senior Civil (Hydraulic) Engineer Do you thrive on solving complex hydraulic challenges and want to lead designs on some of Australia’s most strategically important water infrastructure programs? Position Overview: KBR is expanding our national capability and we’re looking for a Senior Civil (Hydraulic) Engineer to join our Adelaide team to help deliver some of Australia’s most complex and strategically important water infrastructure programs. If you want to work on multidiscipline projects that shape Australia’s future capability, and you thrive in a collaborative, high performing engineering environment, we’d love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities: Lead hydraulic infrastructure design across potable water, fire water, wastewater and recycled water systems. Complete calculations using first principles approaches and software packages (eg WaterGEMS/HAMMER) Coordinate design inputs across civil, structural, electrical, mechanical and building services teams. Work directly with Defence, utilities, and government clients. Mentor emerging engineers and contribute to technical excellence across the team. Support design reviews, Safety in Design, and construction‑phase services. Skills & Experience Required: 7+ years in hydraulic or civil infrastructure engineering. Experience in water utilities, Defence or major infrastructure projects. Strong modelling capability and familiarity with Australian standards. Ability to operate in complex, multidisciplinary environments. Clear communicator who builds strong relationships and thrives in a team-focused culture. Chartered or working toward chartership.
