About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 09 Job Title Associate QA Engineer, OTC Derivatives Data   Department overview: OTC Derivatives Data provides consistent and reliable curve and volatility data for over-the-counter derivatives in support of trading, research, valuation and independent price verification. Asset class coverage includes foreign exchange, interest rate and equity derivatives.   Position summary: Software QA engineer working within OTC Derivatives Data. You’ll be working closely with our product and data specialists across all asset classes, extending our platform, as well as producing efficient and reliable test automation and completing detailed manual functional verification of complicated financial applications, you’ll work towards the team’s goals of high test-coverage, automated, manual testing and feedback.   Duties & accountabilities:   Performing functional testing, show drive to take initiative and follow through tasks to completion at a high-quality level, whilst consistently seeking quality assurance and attention to detail. Create and maintain test cases and scripts to required quality levels. Develop test automation to high coding standards set within the QA group. Reuse, maintain and extend central QA automation frameworks and utilities. After liaising with technical leads on design and tools produce new test frameworks and tests for assigned projects. Work with business analysts and product specialists on maintenance and improvements to our platform. Provide technical support and guidance to these teams. Ensuring clear communication on status to all stakeholders including regular progress and updates to your manager, peers and leads. Establish a productive working relationship with main product stakeholders for these components; Maintain and support the applications, investigating and fixing issues.   Education & experience:   Degree in computer science or numerate discipline, or equivalent background. Thorough understanding of Quality Assurance / Software Testing. 2+ years of experience writing and maintaining test automation/tools in JAVA. Comfortable working with both UNIX/Linux and Windows environments. Good understanding of agile software development methodology. Excellent design and problem-solving skills. Experience providing architectural guidance and mentoring others. Motivation to acquire/increase knowledge of the financial sector is essential. An understanding of derivatives is a plus.   Required Skill Set:   Quality Assurance / Software Testing experience. Writing test automation/tools in a programming language (JavaScript, Python, C#, JAVA) Extensive experience in Test Automation using Test Tools/Frameworks for example: Cucumber, Concordion, Fitnesse, Selenium, TestNG, jUnit  Good working knowledge of Cloud Implementation and understanding of AWS, Docker, Openshift and Kibana would be desirable.  Comfortable working with both UNIX/Linux and Windows environments About S&P Global Market Intelligence At S&P Global Market Intelligence, a division of S&P Global we understand the importance of accurate, deep and insightful information.
