Title: DJBOSS: HVAC Mechanic Program Summary KBR sustains the operational well-being of U.S. armed forces at Djibouti, Africa, Camp Lemonnier Naval Base. Our services encompass program management, contingency and expeditionary, asset management and recreation support, postal operations, safety services, logistics, and more. KBR ensures the base operate smoothly, allowing deployed personnel to focus on mission execution. Job Summary Under direct supervision, assigned daily work. May explain instructions and documentation to plan work activities. Helps coordinate movement of materials and equipment to work locations and set up work site. Completes and reviews records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various cleanup activities. Job may require moderate to heavy lifting. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Roles and Responsibilities Reports to and receives assignments, instructions, and direction from the Foreman or General Foreman. Reads and interprets instructions and documentation and plans work activities. Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing the required personal safety equipment. Performs other duties and activities as required and directed. Prepares materials, builds and erects a broad range of structures in support of plant construction and maintenance activities. Individuals should possess thorough knowledge and have skills involving the inner workings of heating and cooling units, dryer maintenance as well as wiring, motors, pumps, switches, lights, fans and thermostats. Work will also involve lifting and moving heavy units.  Work may involve outdoor Conditions, Height and Lifting 50+lbs Basic Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a Laundry Equipment Mechanic and or HVAC Mechanic. Experience in maintenance of Washers and dryers, or large commercial Air conditioning plants and Chillers High School Diploma or equivalent Associate degree or college level certificate in relevant field EPA certified or equivalent. Must be fluent in English Ability to lift 50+ Ibs Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity KBR Benefits KBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which include medical insurance.
