Position Summary: The Sr. Manager, Security APJ/GC region is the Global Security representative for the APJ/GC region and manages all physical security, investigations, travel security and guard services for all Illumina sites within the region reporting into the Sr. Director, Global Security. This position works from the Singapore campuses and works with their regional security peers and Global Physical Security Systems Team to align all security systems within the region to the global standards.   Position Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include establishing/improving APJ/GC regional campus security processes. Standardizing contract security operations staff during assigned shifts, defining and aligning remote supervisor expectations and general troubleshooting for security operations for the Illumina APJ/GC campuses & remote locations. Manage relationships with the APJ/GC company leadership from various functions to include Campus Leadership, EH&S, Facilities, Commercial Operations & Event Planning. Act as the representative for the Director of Global Security when appropriate. Provide strategic risk assessment and apply security management best practices and principles in accordance with Illumina’s global security policy and physical security systems for the APJ/GC region. Listed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position. Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs. Position Requirements: The Sr. Manager Global Security is responsible for delivery of services at the Illumina APJ/GC campuses utilizing physical security systems and programs that align with the strategic direction, processes or polices managed or implemented by Global Security. This leader will play a key support role in the maturation of the regional security program including; threat and risk assessment, investigations, and establishment of security processes. Through collaboration and partnership with the Physical Security Systems Team, the incumbent supports the Physical Security Systems within their assigned region that are used in protecting people and assets.  Through prevention, assessment, security management principles, the leader will identify and mitigate against threats of violence and/or disruption of operations involving Illumina physical assets or intellectual property. The Sr. Manager maintains an active role developing and executing security plans for emergency response and key projects. In addition, the leader is responsible for assisting in the formulation and deploying policies, procedures, operational standards, and other related activities that support campus wide operations of all physical security and safety initiatives, programs, and activities. The Sr. Manager serves on various campus wide planning teams representing the Global Security Program and provides support for all aspects of program development and policy compliance. The APJ/GC Region leader will identify various system integrators, collaborate in the coordination of installation and maintenance services. The Sr. Manager will maintain a close working relationship with key APJ/GC site & business leaders and help identify operational budgets and capital projects. Manage the Physical Security Systems Specialists, ensuring alignment with the Global Physical Security Systems and Operations programs for the APJ/GC Region. Ability to travel 10-15% of the time both domestically and internationally, travel is primarily within the APJ/GC region but may require travel to other locations as necessary for the role. Preferred Experience/Education/Skills: Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in an applicable field or equivalent. Typically has 12+ years of direct work experience, with 3-6 years of Management experience. Managers at this level may become involved in elevated issues arising from daily activities.  Applies broad management, functional expertise/knowledge to subordinates managers and staff members.  Will have developed key relationships with important customers and suppliers.
