As a Product Owner - MES & Manufacturin Analytics you will own the definition, evolution, and delivery of MES solutions within the Scent Business Unit, with a strong focus on TrackSys and BatchMetric. You will act as the interface between Manufacturing, Quality, IT/OT, and Data & Analytics teams, translating operational needs into a prioritized backlog and clear functional requirements. Defines and governs end-to-end data integrations between MES and analytics platforms, ensuring data quality, traceability, and availability for manufacturing KPIs, batch performance analysis, and continuous improvement. Drives standardization, adoption, and value realization of the MES ecosystem across Scent manufacturing sites. Where You’ll Make a Difference 1. MES Product Ownership & Vision Own the product vision and roadmap for MES solutions within Scent BU , primarily TrackSys and BatchMetric , aligned with manufacturing strategy and business priorities. Contribute to medium- and long-term MES evolution, including standardization across sites and alignment with global digital manufacturing initiatives. Ensure MES solutions support batch execution, traceability, genealogy, performance monitoring, and compliance requirements . Act as the single point of accountability for MES-related functional scope within the Scent digital ecosystem. 2. MES Functional Scope & Feature Delivery Translate manufacturing and quality requirements into clear functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for TrackSys and BatchMetric. Collaborate with manufacturing stakeholders (Production, QA, Engineering, Operations) to capture real shopfloor needs and constraints . Prioritize the MES backlog based on business value, regulatory impact, operational risk, and data needs . Work closely with IT, system integrators, and platform teams during grooming, sprint planning, and delivery to ensure correct implementation. Validate MES functionalities in test and production environments, ensuring alignment with business processes and data integrity. 3. Manufacturing Data & Analytics Integration Define and own the end-to-end data flows from MES (TrackSys, BatchMetric) to analytics platforms, data lakes, and reporting tools . Ensure manufacturing data is structured, contextualized, and consumable for analytics use cases (OEE, batch performance, deviations, losses, throughput, quality metrics). Collaborate with Data & Analytics teams to: Define data models, KPIs, and semantic layers related to manufacturing execution. Ensure consistency between MES transactional data and analytical dashboards. Integrate analytics requirements into MES feature design (data capture, timestamps, identifiers, event logic). 4. End-to-End Manufacturing Process Understanding Develop a strong understanding of Scent manufacturing processes , from batch creation and execution to release and performance analysis. Analyze current processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, or opportunities for digitalization, automation, and standardization . Support harmonization of MES processes and data definitions across plants and geographies. Maintain up-to-date process and functional documentation as systems and processes evolve. 5. Backlog & Dependency Management Own and maintain a well-structured and prioritized MES backlog . Identify dependencies between MES, ERP, automation systems, and analytics platforms. Coordinate with other Product Owners, IT architects, and program teams to manage cross-system impacts and integrations. Ensure backlog items are ready for development and aligned with delivery capacity and business priorities. 6. KPIs, Performance & Value Realization Define and support manufacturing and MES-related KPIs (e.g. execution performance, batch cycle time, data completeness, system adoption). Monitor MES usage, data quality, and feature adoption. Provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders and Product Management based on analytics and operational feedback. Ensure delivered features generate measurable operational and data value . 7. Change Management, Adoption & Training Support change management activities related to MES deployments and enhancements. Contribute to the creation of user guides, functional documentation, and release notes . Work with training and site teams to ensure proper adoption of MES functionalities. Act as a functional reference for MES-related questions from business and operational users. What Makes You the Right Fit Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Industrial IT, Manufacturing, or a related field. 3–5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Functional Lead in manufacturing or industrial digital solutions. Hands-on experience with MES systems (TrackSys, BatchMetric, or similar). Strong exposure to manufacturing operations, batch processes, and quality environments . Experience working at the intersection of OT, IT, and Data & Analytics . Exposure to regulated or highly structured manufacturing environments is a strong advantage. How Would You Stand Out? Solid understanding of MES concepts: batch execution, genealogy, traceability, events, and production reporting. Experience defining data requirements and integrations between MES and analytics platforms. Ability to write high-quality user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria . Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.). Ability to interpret and challenge manufacturing KPIs and analytical outputs . Soft Skills Strong communication skills across shopfloor, business, and technical teams. Structured and analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. User- and value-focused approach with a continuous improvement mindset. Comfortable working independently and managing priorities.
