Job Description Rolls-Royce Germany is offering an exciting opportunity for the position Materials Engineer (m/f/d) in Dahlewitz near Berlin. We are seeking a personality for our interdisciplinary team who combines scientific depth with strategic vision. As a Materials Scientist with project management responsibilities, you will play a key role in the development of innovative materials and oversee projects from the initial idea through to successful implementation. Key Responsibilities: Development, analysis, and optimisation of novel materials, as well as assessment of their technical properties. Planning, management, and coordination of development projects, including resource, time, and budget management. Close collaboration with research, production, quality assurance, and external partners. Derivation of technical specifications and creation of well-founded decision bases. Monitoring project progress, risk management, and ensuring achievement of objectives. Presentation of results to management, customers, and project teams. Support in the strategic development of the material portfolio. Required Qualifications: Completed degree in materials science or a comparable field. Strong technical background in steel and/or nickel materials. Several years of experience in material development or analysis. Proven competence in managing complex technical projects. Excellent MS Office skills. Strong communication skills and confident interaction with interdisciplinary teams. Fluent English and at least B1 level German are required. Aufgaben: Entwicklung, Analyse und Optimierung neuartiger Materialien sowie Bewertung ihrer technischen Eigenschaften. Planung, Leitung und Koordination von Entwicklungsprojekten inklusive Ressourcen-, Zeit- und Budgetmanagement. Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Forschung, Produktion, Qualitätssicherung und externen Partnern. Ableitung technischer Spezifikationen und Erstellung fundierter Entscheidungsgrundlagen. Überwachung des Projektfortschritts, Risikomanagement und Sicherstellung der Zielerreichung. Präsentation von Ergebnissen vor Management, Kunden und Projektteams. Unterstützung bei der strategischen Weiterentwicklung des Materialportfolios. Qualifikationen: Abgeschlossenes Studium in Materialwissenschaften oder vergleichbarer Fachrichtung. Ausgeprägten fachlichen Hintergrund im Bereich Stahl- und/oder Nickelwerkstoffen. Mehrjährige Erfahrung in der Materialentwicklung oder -analyse. Nachweisbare Kompetenz in der Leitung komplexer technischer Projekte. Sehr gute MS-Office-Kenntnisse. Kommunikationsstärke sowie ein souveräner Umgang mit interdisziplinären Teams. Fließendes Englisch und Deutsch auf mindestens B1-Niveau sind erforderlich.
