Job Description Summary GE HealthCare develops and manufactures high‑end medical diagnostic ultrasound systems at its Zipf site. In the role of Technical Writer / User Manual Specialist (f/m/d), you are responsible for creating, structuring, and maintaining user‑friendly user manuals, operating instructions, and technical documentation for our products and systems. Job Description Responsibilities Create, structure, and maintain user manuals, operating instructions, and technical documentation for products and systems Translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly language Collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and quality assurance teams to gather accurate content Ensure documentation complies with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and industry guidelines Update and revise manuals based on product changes, customer feedback, and new releases Manage documentation version control and ensure consistency across all materials Support localization processes and coordinate translations when required Requirements Technical Collage (HTL) or bachelor’s degree Background in Technical Communication, Engineering, Linguistics, or a related field Experience in technical writing or user documentation Ability to understand technical concepts and explain them clearly to non-technical users Experience with documentation tools, content management systems, or authoring software Strong attention to detail and structured working style Ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English Desired Characteristics Strong user-centric mindset with a focus on clarity and usability High level of accuracy, consistency, and quality awareness Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Proactive, self-organized, and reliable working approach Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international teams Openness to feedback and continuous improvement Interest in technology and product development processes What we offer We offer a role specific compensation and a competitive salary and fringe benefit package reflecting your profile and experience. In Austria we are required to state the minimum pay. For this position, the annual compensation package starts at € 55.000. We will be pleased to discuss the appropriate effective salary based on your qualifications and experience.
