Job Description Summary The Assistant Controller provides Operational Controllership guidance to both finance and operations leaders for a specialist area within controllership, and/or support a Controller in a medium size country/region/P&L with some complexity. Roles and Responsibilities (but are not limited to): Oversight multiple COEs tasks to ensure consistent and effective policies and procedures application during monthly/quarterly close process including account reconciliations, GE Corporate Data Request (DR) submissions, and adjusting entries. Lead STAT audit activities for multiple legal entities. Oversight Treasury related processes including banking process management to ensure regular payments, foreign currency and hedging transactions are conducted in a timely and compliant way. Perform financial analysis of balance sheet accounts to ensure compliance, integrity of account balances/financial reporting and effectiveness of business processes. Proactively work with regional and technical controllership teams to advise on complex technical accounting issues Work closely with financial and operational leadership to proactively assess and manage financial/operational risks. Interpret these risks & opportunities to local circumstances & present workable solutions. Drive the solutions implementation Lead, participate and provide inputs into GE Healthcare simplification initiatives Partner with Sr. Tax Analyst to improve Stat to GAAP and Stat to Tax processes Drive closure of open items and proactively work to prevent future issues / manage risk. Lead resulting corrective action process implementation and follow up throughout the organization. Qualifications: Min 3+ years of accounting or finance experience in multinational business /Healthcare industry/similar Industrial sector Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other business-related fields Demonstrated experience and understanding in U.S. GAAP, local GAAP, authoritative accounting literature (i.e. FASB pronouncements) and local TAX Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels Able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing (Korea and English) Clear thinking/problem solving:  successfully lead projects/process improvements working with commercial/operations/finance functions Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, OAS, Salesforce, OBIEE, Hyperion, SAP etc.) Preferred Qualifications: KICPA or AICPIA Strong accountability, sense of urgency and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change Adaptable/flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations Confidence/assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions Experience working in a matrix environment Sound understanding of global process and transactional flows Basic understanding of financial compliance: SOX, SOCCS, GAAP Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities while staying focused and meeting deadlines without sacrificing accuracy Inclusion and Diversity GE Healthcare is an Equal Opportunity Employer where inclusion matters.
