This role involves mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that drive business insights and informed decision-making. Meaningful Work From Day One The Senior Data Engineer will lead the design, development, and optimization of data architectures and pipelines. This role involves mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that drive business insights and informed decision-making. What You Can Expect Lead the development and maintenance of scalable data architectures and pipelines. Design and implement data models and schemas to support business intelligence and analytics. Optimize data processing workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability. Mentor and guide junior data engineers, providing technical leadership and best practices. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation processes. Execute steady state operating and monitoring procedures for our data warehouse and periodic 24x7 on-call support as necessary What You Bring to the Table Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field. Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases. Expertise in big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Nifi, Airflow). Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. Experience with data warehousing solutions such as Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Fluent in English with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Experience with SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and ABAP . What Makes You Unique Experience with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Boomi, Informatica). Familiarity with data governance and data security best practices.
