Date Posted: 2026-02-15 Country: India Location: No.92 Jigani Industrial Area II, Jigani Village, Aneka,Karnataka, BANGALORE -560 105, India Job Title : Asst Manager, Electrical System Engineer Role Overview:   Act as lead engineer for mechanical sub systems and technical documentation On a typical day you will:   Design and integration of elevator electrical subsystems, understanding control system requirements, motor & VF drive interfaces, electrical codes & application software fundamentals. Developing concepts of electrical sub-systems, review and create electrical component & sub-system design requirements. Design of wire harness and manage the interface between various elevator components through electrification and signaling. Preparation of Bill of Material of elevator Control system for various ratings. Identify cost reduction opportunities and innovative ideas in electrical subsystems with alternative design solutions to reduce the product cost. Selection and sizing key electrical components for the electrical sub-system designs, such as relays, safety sensors, circuit breakers, switches, transformers, and protection systems for both control and power circuits What You Will Need to be Successful:   BE/B.Tech/M. Tech in Electrical or Electronics 8 +  years of experience as an electrical design engineer. Experience in product development, and exp in industrial electrical component/ Switchgear, hands on experience in tool like AutoCAD /E Plan/ E3 etc. Delivery of electrical components & sub-system design meeting OTIS standards of safety, quality and design. Provide timely trouble shooting support in resolution of technical problems related to electrical system and components. Deliver electrical designs on time meeting requirements and within cost targets. Improvement in design quality through the reduction in design errors and escapes to the field. Elevator experience of 2 years will be added advantage Propose and integrate alternative drives, machines, controllers and other electrical components in the event of product obsolescence. Support electrical system calculation and analysis for cable sizing, power converters sizing, Machine sizing, heat release calculations, power supply designs. Provide Technical leadership on designing electrical components using OTIS design standards for cost, manufacturing, assembly, reliability and safety. Participate in the design reviews of the electrical sub-system. Understanding and performing failure and risk analysis using Otis tools PROCERT, FTA, FMEA, RAMP, RRCA, DoE, etc Develop/Execute qualification plan for the electrical components/ subsystem & system level. Develop / Execute reliability tests as per OTIS/International Standards (EN/IEC). Implementing Root Cause Analysis to analyze test results of electrical sub-system and components and FTBs. Developing and improving design process of electrical components & sub-system Providing product support and technical expertise for Sales, Manufacturing (IE), Supply Chain.
