The video desk is composed of a team of writers and editors that are always on the lookout for newsmaking clips and compelling visual storytelling to feature on the cnn.com website, linear television, digital videos and more. We work closely with other teams to bring multiplatform coverage on both US and international news priorities. Your Role Accountabilities... The video desk intern will assist with sharing newsworthy footage across the network, monitoring video trends on social media, research, translation, finding interviewees and conducting interviews, monitoring and pitching daily stories, and contributing writing. The candidate should have strong English; other language abilities especially Chinese are a plus. Qualifications/Experience Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Masters degree. Strong passion in journalism and and keen to develop strong editorial judgment skills in a fast-paced newsroom setting. Candidates are required to commit for a minimum duration of 3 months, starting from May/June 2026. Candidates must have the right of abode in Hong Kong or hold a valid student visa and No Objection Letter (NOL) from the Hong Kong Immigration Department How We Get Things Done… This last bit is probably the most important!
