Date Posted: 2026-02-05 Country: United States of America Location: OTFLH: Florida Home Offices Remote Location, Remote City, FL, 33408 USA KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manage and resolve property damage, general liability, product liability, auto, and workers’ compensation claims from initial report through closure. • Conduct thorough investigations including interviews, document review, and evidence collection. • Analyze incident facts to determine coverage, liability, and exposure. • Coordinate with third-party administrators, insurers, attorneys, and field personnel. • Maintain detailed and accurate claim files in compliance with company requirements and regulatory standards including reserving. • Prepare written summaries, status updates, and reporting dashboards for leadership. • Track trends and contribute to root-cause analysis that drives risk reduction. • Negotiate settlements within assigned authority levels to achieve cost-effective outcomes. • Review invoices, legal bills, and documentation to ensure accuracy and alignment with Otis’s guidelines. • Partner with Field Operations and Safety teams to understand incident drivers and support preventive actions. • Support internal audits and compliance reviews. • Communicate professionally with customers, claimants, attorneys, and insurers. • Uphold Otis’s commitment to safety, fairness, and service excellence throughout the claims process. TO BE SUCCESSFUL, YOU’LL NEED THE FOLLOWING: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Active Professional Claims Certification (6-20 All-Lines Adjuster License or equivalent). • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. • 5+ years of claims handling experience in general liability and/or auto lines. • Demonstrated analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills. • Working knowledge of applicable insurance regulations, policies, and industry best practices. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Proven ability to manage multiple claims and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS • 8+ years of progressive claims handling experience, including exposure to insurance, product liability, risk management, catastrophic loss, litigation support, or related areas. • Experience supporting claims in construction, industrial equipment, manufacturing, or field service environments.
