Job Details Are you a skilled Class 1 HGV driver/shunter, looking for a part-time opportunity? Alloga UK is seeking a dedicated and professional Class 1 Driver with shunting experience to join our team in South Normanton. As a Class 1 Driver and shunter, you will play a vital role in providing a professional customer delivery service while maintaining a safe and competent standard of driving. You will be delivering to UK destination’s only from our distribution centre on South Normanton/Derby Commercial Park. Part-time HGV Class 1 Driver with Shunting duties Location: South Normanton Alloga AP5 site Working Days: Friday & Saturday - start time between 0200-0600 Hours : 19.20 hours per week Rate of Pay: £16.43 per hour Key Responsibilities: Deliver goods promptly and safely, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction. Communicate effectively with the transport office regarding any delays or issues. Complete documentation accurately, including proof of deliveries and returns. Maintain a high level of vehicle cleanliness and road safety, adhering to speed limits and traffic regulations. Conduct daily vehicle walkaround checks and manage secure loading practices. Report any risks, incidents, or temperature excursions as they arise. . What We’re Looking For: Experience: Minimum 2 years of Class 1 driving experience. Skills: Excellent customer care and communication skills, with the ability to work independently. Attributes: Smart appearance, strong interpersonal skills, and a flexible approach to work.
