This position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to operate, install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain wastewater and utility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of business goals and objectives. H ow you will make contributions that matter... Clean, lubricate, adjust, disassemble, and reassemble machinery and equipment as needed for maintenance and repair. Inspect parts for defects including breakage and excessive wear; repair or replace malfunctioning components. Troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain industrial wastewater equipment including hydraulic/pneumatic systems, motors, gearboxes, VFD/HMI/Servo controls, blowers, pumps, conveyors, valves, sensors, flow meters and level controls. Install, diagnose or repair a variety of electrical equipment such as controllers, sensors, transmitters, field devices, VFD’s, control devices, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems and their components Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and respond to unplanned maintenance needs as they occur. Assist with wastewater sampling, monitoring and testing required to maintain compliance with federal, state and local regulations governing the wastewater treatment process. Assist with disposal of unrecognizable food processing waste through land application or via a third party Maintain a clean and safe work environment Adheres to Saputo’s Code of Ethics and values as a condition of employment. Performs other duties and tasks as required. You are best suited for the role if you… High School diploma or equivalent Working knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance. Effective troubleshooting skills; must be able to systematically diagnose electrical and/or mechanical problems. Working knowledge of AC & DC power and control voltages, PLC, VFD drives and process instrumentation. Ability to complete and pass required wastewater certification training courses within 24 months from the date of hire. Basic computer hardware and software skills. Perform daily and periodic checks and tests of the wastewater treatment process.  Proficient in computer-based applications. MS Excel skills a plus. Ability to follow all Environmental Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies.
