Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in data management to lead and deliver complex data projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent stakeholder management skills, and a deep understanding of the data lifecycle. This role requires working across cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining high standards of data quality, governance, and compliance. Having experience working in banking or financial services is a big plus. Key Responsibilities: Lead the end-to-end delivery of data management projects, including data quality, data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and master data management (MDM). Engage with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and translate them into actionable project plans. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, and manage execution against these plans. Oversee project resources, vendors, and delivery teams to ensure alignment with project objectives. Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies proactively. Prepare and present status reports, dashboards, and updates to executive stakeholders. Collaborate with data architects, data engineers, data stewards, and other specialists to drive delivery. Champion best practices in Agile or Hybrid delivery models suited to data projects. Support change management and adoption across business users. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field; PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications preferred. 4+ years of experience in project management, with at least 2 years managing data management projects. Demonstrated experience delivering projects involving: Data governance frameworks Metadata and lineage management Data quality initiatives Master data and reference data solutions Data warehouse or lake implementations Proficient in using project management tools like MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong leadership and team management capabilities with ability to drive multi-disciplinary teams. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): Prior experience in banking or financial services is highly preferred. Understanding of data regulations in the banking sector (e.g., GDPR, local regulatory bodies). Experience working with data platforms such as Informatica, Collibra, Talend, or Snowflake. Familiarity with data strategy and enterprise data architecture. Exposure to cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of BI/reporting tools and data visualization platforms.
