Job Title Research Assistant Agency Texas A&M Agrilife Research Department Farm Services Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location College Station, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description Performs skilled, administrative, and managerial support in research. Plans and directs certain phases in a research project. Responsibilities: -Assists undergraduate or graduate students, technical or field staff involved in research. -Supports coordination and execution of research projects. -Supports communication and scheduling with faculty, staff, students, and external partners. -Assists with reports, invoices, and cataloging records. -Assist with purchasing of equipment and supplies . -Installs, operates, maintains, and/or repairs research equipment. -Operates tractors and farm equipment. -Performs other related duties as assigned. Education and Experience: -Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Preferred Experience: -Crop production. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: -Knowledge of laboratory maintenance and equipment. Knowledge of computers and computer software related to the position.
