Dematic is looking for a talented Electrical Design Engineer – Sorter Center of Excellence (CoE), , to be hired with a permanent contract, for its premises in Cernusco Sul Naviglio. He/She will work with an international Team in order to develop complex sortation system for automated warehouse. Wiring Diagrams & Layouts Develop and maintain functional wiring diagrams, cable lists, and electrical layouts using EPLAN P8 and AutoCAD. Documentation Support the creation of product documentation, including electrical schematics for manuals, spare parts lists, and safety compliance documentation. Technical Interface with Suppliers Collaborate with suppliers to ensure technical accuracy, proper component selection, and alignment with project requirements. Support Installation & Commissioning Provide technical assistance to the site installation and commissioning teams during the deployment phase of sorter systems. Standardization and Continuous Improvement Contribute to the standardization of electrical solutions within the Sorter CoE, helping to improve consistency, safety, and maintainability. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent technical diploma. Experience: 5 years of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer in the industrial or automation sector Prior experience in the material handling or intralogistics sector is highly valued Technical Skills: Proficiency in EPLAN P8 for electrical schematics Good knowledge of AutoCAD for 2D layouts Understanding of electrical norms and CE/UL/CSA conformity Familiarity with safety regulations and risk assessment practices Basic understanding of PLC systems and industrial automation is a plus Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Team player with proactive problem-solving attitude Ability to collaborate across departments (Controls, Mechanical, Software, PM) Languages: Full professional proficiency in Italian and English (written and spoken Mobility: Availability for occasional international travel during commissioning or supplier coordination phases
