Job Description JOB SUMMARY The Clinic Practice Manager manages all activities and operational areas within the clinic.  Manages nursing, clinical support and administrative staff who provide professional care to patients and adheres to health system standards and guidelines for specialty regulations.  In coordination with Director, designs, supports, executes strategic objectives to ensure financial profitability in order to achieve and maintain growth.  The Manager is responsible for building strong relationships with the providers and staff to ensure smooth operations. Continually monitoring national healthcare trends and implementing evidence-based practices.  Collaborate and participate in health system safety, quality and performance improvement initiatives.  Supports and adheres to the LMH Health Code of Ethics and Business Standards. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Operations Management: Builds and maintains positive working relationships with clinicians and staff in the practice. Monitors appointments, patient flow, and appropriate staffing needs in relation to clinic volume. Develops weekly provider and staff schedules to maintain efficient clinic operations. Identifies and resolves operational problems. Develops, implements, audits for compliance use of policies, procedures and standards of care to promote the delivery of safe, efficient and cost-effective care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.  Demonstrates leadership in driving and modeling best practices for operational excellence and process improvement. Facilitates collaborative conversations with providers to review productivity metrics and develop individualized strategies for improvement. Staff Supervision: Recruits, hires, supervises all staff as assigned, and helps staff develop performance goals and objectives Addresses performance or behavior issues in accordance with LMH Health Corrective Action policy. Plans and facilitates a variety of activities to improve the level of knowledge, performance, skill and competence of the clinical staff in accordance with hospital policies, procedures and standards of nursing practice defined in the professional literature.  Coordinates job assignments to maintain appropriate coverage at all times. Reviews and updates payroll time sheets and associated reports. Works to oversee unit and staff performance/educational needs as identified by overall individual and unit outcomes. Financial Oversight: Monthly production and accounting variance reporting in relation to provider productivity and expenses/supplies provided on income statement and related reports. Processes accounts payable in a timely manner. Works with the Central Business Office and Patient Accounts to ensure successful billing processes. Provides data for financial statistical purposes, including reviewing invoices and statements. Collects data and prepares reports as requested Monitors inventory and purchasing of supplies. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensures compliance with regulations and with clinic standards of quality patient care. Assist in the creation, revision and implementation of support systems, budgets, policies and procedures Patient Relations: An ambassador for patient experience in order to provide exceptional care. Provides and helps to oversee patient, family and community education in order to position the hospital as an essential community resource. Monitors patient satisfaction and resolves any concerns or complaints promptly. Technology, Systems, and Equipment: Ensures the EMR is utilized effectively and that appropriate training is provided. Coordinate IT support and system upgrades. Oversees the maintenance of medical and office equipment. Professionalism Executes a plan for own professional development. Assumes a leadership role in development of Departmental goals and direction consistent with LMH vision and strategic plan. Performs other duties as needed or assigned. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position   JOB QUALIFICATIONS Required :   Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business or related field* 2 years of experience in medical practice management.  3-5 years preferred Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills. Knowledge of medical billing, coding and healthcare regulations. Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.                                       Preferred : Project Management Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business or related field *In lieu of completed degree, will consider a combination of some college and healthcare management experience.
