We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect/Modeler to lead the development and maintenance of sophisticated data architectures that support our business initiatives. This role involves data modeling, source-to-target mappings, data governance, data migration projects, and ETL/ELT transformations. The successful candidate will have expertise in SQL, Azure databases, and the ability to write precisely mapping specifications for developers. Responsibilities: Analyze, create, maintain, and review logical and physical data models to align with project requirements. Develop entity relationship diagrams, star schemas, and normalization processes. Conduct file-to-database mappings, focusing on field-level mapping and business rules transformation logic. Complete source-to-target data mappings, including detailed transformations for development. Write comprehensive mapping specifications for developers using ER Studio or ERWIN. Lead and execute data migration projects, utilizing ETL/ELT transformations to ensure data integrity. Manage data quality and governance practices, implementing remediation plans when necessary. Utilize Azure databases (Fabric Lakehouse, Synapse) for data management and transformation. Conduct data analysis and validation using SQL, including complex stored procedures and functions. Work closely with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders to gather data requirements and present findings. Communicate complex data concepts clearly, supporting technology-enabled business projects. Qualifications: +8 years in data architecture/modeling roles. Proficient in SQL and data modeling tools, particularly ER Studio or ERWIN. Strong understanding of MDM, data mapping, data governance, and quality concepts. Experience with data migration projects and ETL/ELT transformations. Knowledgeable in Azure databases, including Fabric Lakehouse and Synapse. Ability to write detailed mapping specifications.
