As a Managing Consultant , Air Quality and Environmental Compliance , you’ll guide clients through complex air quality and EHS challenges, ensuring they meet critical standards while advancing sustainability goals. What Your Impact Is Lead technically challenging air quality and compliance projects for power, manufacturing, chemical, and pharmaceutical clients. Drive strategic permitting and compliance programs that shape operational excellence. Collaborate with ERM’s national network of experts to deliver best-in-class solutions and share knowledge across industries. Build lasting client relationships and contribute to business growth through trusted advisory and innovative solutions. What You’ll Bring Required: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or sciences (chemical, environmental, mechanical, or civil). 4+ years (6–10 years preferred) of environmental compliance experience (consulting and permitting preferred). Strong understanding of air emissions, permitting processes (Title V, NSR, PSD), and federal/state regulations. Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel up to 50%. Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field. Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Experience with climate change initiatives (GHG inventories, emission reduction strategies). Key Responsibilities Develop air quality permits and compliance plans, including Title V and New Source Review applications. Manage strategic air permitting and compliance programs for complex industrial clients. Conduct regulatory analyses, emission inventories, and compliance audits. Support climate change projects and environmental management systems implementation. Provide on-site EHS compliance support and Phase I Environmental Site Assessments. Prepare technical reports, recommendations, and proposals for clients. Cultivate client relationships and contribute to ERM’s business growth initiatives.
