Here, you will work alongside passionate and dedicated caregivers, receive endless support and appreciation and build a rewarding career with one of the most distinguished otolaryngology medical centers in the country .       G100 is a Gastroenterology and Hepatology U nit that cares for patients with gastrointestinal and liver diseases and pre-transplant patients. Common diagnoses that are treated on this unit include Crohn’s disease, colitis, gastroparesis, gastrointestinal bleeding, pancreatitis, liver failure, complex multi-organ failure, nausea and sepsis.     A caregiver in this position works night s , 7:00 p m—7:30 a m ( 36 hours per week, working 12-hour shifts). Every other weekend/holiday.     A caregiver who excels in this role will:    Collect, document and report patient data and observations.    Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions.    Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions .      Perform routine laboratory tests.   Educate patients and family members.      Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:    Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program    Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse      Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross     Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   One year of patient care experience      Physical Requirements: Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand coordination. Involves extensive standing and walking. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
