This team consistently produces a positive financial contribution while achieving greater than 90% patient satisfaction scores.  As a Pharmacy Technician, you play an essential role in keeping patients safe and comfortable throughout their outpatient experience. You will do so much more than count prescriptions and ring outpatients. You will make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, their families and your fellow caregivers. A caregiver in this position works varying 8hr shifts primarily, but at times 10hr shifts according to business needs. Weekend requirements average 3 -4 Saturdays per quarter which can increase based on based on business needs. Pharmacy Operating Hours are: 8am-8pm Monday – Thursday 8am-6pm Fridays 7:45a-4:15pm  Saturdays A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the pharmacist in an ambulatory/outpatient setting.   Prepare prescription orders for dispensing to patients.   Maintain inventory for the outpatient pharmacy.   Assist with extemporaneous compounding of prescriptions and bulk compounding of prescriptions and over the counter items.   Operate the point-of-sale cash register system.   Monitor and act on reorder points, restock prescription and non-prescription area and remove expiring products.   Provide multi-pharmacy support in assigned areas as needed.   Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   High school diploma or GED.   Must meet all of the following license and certification combination requirements at the time of application: Must hold an active registration as a Registered Pharmacy Technician through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP).       Please note:  A status as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee with OBOP does not qualify for this role.   However, please visit the apprenticeship program to express interest:                         https://talentcommunity.clevelandclinic.org/campaign/apprentiship-programs/  ) It is required, within 18 months from the date of hire: Must obtain a national certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA)  AND Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy Can perform algebraic calculations necessary for the preparation of extemporaneous compounds     Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   Six month of hospital experience Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
