Susquehanna Service Dogs is seeking a Part Time and a Casual (Per Diem) Kennel Technician to join in our mission of providing assistance dogs that give people the confidence to live more independent lives, doing things they didn’t think possible. The Kennel Technician position maintains the kennel and surrounding areas, provides for the daily care and feeding of the dogs, and implements and supports consistent dog training approaches. Position Details/Benefits: $16.50 per hour Part time and Casual (Per Diem) hours available Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent At least one year of professional or educational experience caring for animals At least one year year of experience working in customer service or related field Demonstrated knowledge of animal behavior and care Basic understanding of positive reinforcement training Strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills Basic computer skills, ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and learn web based systems Valid driver’s license and daily access to privately maintained and insured vehicle Successful completion of pre-employment process, including Criminal History, Child Abuse and FBI clearances Keystone Human Services prohibits discrimination against qualified individuals based on their status as protected veterans or individuals with disabilities and prohibits discrimination against all individuals based on any category protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
