Job Description:     The AI Senior Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a team of engineers, ensuring delivery of high-quality solutions, fostering collaboration, and aligning team efforts with organizational goals. They act as a bridge between leadership and the technical team, focusing on execution, people development, and process excellence. Should have good Networking Knowledge Responsibilities: Team Leadership & People Management Build and maintain a high-performing team culture. Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, and provide career development guidance. Manage workload distribution, resolve conflicts, and ensure team well-being. Project Planning & Delivery Translate business objectives into clear technical goals and milestones. Own project timelines, resource allocation, and risk management. Ensure on-time delivery of features with quality and compliance. Technical Oversight Collaborate with Architects and Leads to ensure design alignment. Review technical decisions for feasibility, scalability, and security. Drive adoption of best practices in coding, testing, and deployment. Stakeholder Communication Act as the primary point of contact for leadership and cross-functional teams. Provide status updates, progress reports, and manage expectations. Escalate risks proactively and propose mitigation strategies. Process & Governance Implement Agile/Scrum practices, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Ensure compliance with security, quality, and regulatory standards. Drive continuous improvement in processes and team productivity. Budget & Resource Management Forecast resource needs and manage hiring plans. Optimize costs for infrastructure, tools, and team operations. Ensure efficient utilization of team capacity and tools. Innovation & Growth Encourage upskilling and knowledge sharing within the team. Identify opportunities for automation and AI-driven improvements. Contribute to strategic planning for future capabilities. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or closely related quantitative discipline. With a typically of 8+ years’ experience including 5 or more years of people management experience, Advanced Degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) is preferred. Knowledge and Skills: Leadership & Management Strong people management and mentoring skills. Ability to resolve conflicts, motivate teams, and build trust. Strategic thinking and decision-making under uncertainty. Technical Awareness Understanding of software development lifecycle, CI/CD, and cloud platforms. Familiarity with AI/ML concepts (if managing AI-focused teams). Ability to review high-level architecture and design decisions. Strong technical expertise in AI and machine learning algorithms, models, and tools, with proficiency in programming languages such as Python Project & Process Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and project tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps). Risk management and dependency handling. Strong documentation and reporting skills. Communication & Collaboration Excellent verbal and written communication for executive and technical audiences. Stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination. Negotiation and influence Tools & Platforms Jira, GitHub/GitLab, CI/CD pipelines.
