Our roadmap covers, cutting edge networking features/services like VLAN, LACP, Mac-Learning, Routing and QOS . Also the team is responsible to develop the SDK and Data plane for next generation ASIC. As a Senior engineer , you will be responsible to develop networking features and SDK APIs for next generation ASIC in Agile method. You will be working with world class system and SW architects to understand the customer requirement and it’s feasibility to implement in slingshot SW Architecture. You would have a chance to design next generation Network operating system which would use industry standard SAI interfaces.    What you’ll do: In a typical day as a Data plane development Expert, you would: Work in a dynamic Agile development environment and remain adaptable to changing requirements. Document architectures, procedures, and processes in use and contribute to the improvement of the process Continuously review the product and code for optimizations and performance improvements Evaluate and recommend new technologies and use cases to bring into the platform Participate in planning, estimation, prioritization and cost-benefit analysis for projects Prototype / design / Develop software Data plane, packet processing components Work on advanced path finding initiatives collaborating across teams and partners   What you need to bring:   Education Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent 10+ years of experience as a Software Developer in Layer2/Layer3 networking or related systems area   Knowledge and Skills: Excellent C, C++ programming skills and working knowledge of Python programming Development of Layer2/Layer3 features like   LAG, LACPD, QoS , Mac-Learning, Q-in-Q, Ethernet-OAM, IP Routing SDK Development / HAL layer for Broadcom/Marvell chips Excellent problem solving and debugging skills, ability to debug and analyse distributed systems Experience architecting, designing and implementing complex solutions Eagerness to learn and readiness to dive deep into complex problems Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines    Great to Haves: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or other container platform Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teams and influence their technological direction with a combination of hands-on work and technical leadership Experience with SAI and SONIC would be an added advantage.
