Job Summary Acting as team lead/supervisor for Neurosurgery teams at William Beaumont University Hospital (Royal Oak) and Dearborn campuses. 80% of time spent working on each team clinically to support clinical operations. 20% of time spent with administrative duties including team scheduling, refining and updating orientation materials, team credentials and certifications maintenance, staff performance and evaluations, resident and physician collaboration, and service line best practice process improvement.  BENEFITS Corewell Health offers a comprehensive benefits package to meet your financial, health and life-work balance goals. Participates in regional, service line and leadership meetings/committees as requested. Continual management of change in service line with bidirectional communication between APP Director and service line leaders to APP Supervisors and APPs. Oversight and development daily schedules, including coverage for unexpected staffing situations. Clinical training and orientation of new APP staff. Precepting or overseeing APP students. Assist manager in interviewing, performance evaluations, OPPE/FPPE, certification maintenance, coaching and development of department level education of all reporting APPs. Work 80% clinically in Neurosurgery, or as determined by APP Leadership.  Assistance with APP Student education placement  Development of clinical training including orientation process development and implementation, service line education, billing/coding.  Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding and mentoring, performance evaluations, OPPE/FPPE, coaching or PIPs, RL and safety concerns.  Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree AMA recognized PA program that is accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for Physician Assistants and meet requirements of the state. Required Master's Degree Science/Physician Assistant or Masters Degree in Nursing. 3 years of relevant experience Clinical Practice as an APP is required 1 year of relevant experience In a leadership role is preferred LIC-Physician Assistant - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required CRT-DEA Registration - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required CRT-Physician Asst Certified (PA-C) - NCCPA National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants Upon Hire required This is where extraordinary begins.
