The   Staff Data Engineer (Reporting & Analytics)   is responsible   for   designing and improving Danaher’s data management   & analytics function. The primary   objective   of this role is to   build   analytics strategies that align with business priorities   and drive measurable business outcomes .       This position   reports to the   Sr. Director – Data Engineering   and   is part of the   Core Technology &   P lanning is onsite based out of Bangalore,India .       In this role, you will have the opportunity to:     Data Engineer   builds and   maintains   analytics-ready datasets   optimized   for reporting and dashboards   for consumption by all Danaher Opcos.  Enable self-service access through semantic layers, catalogues, and APIs, empowering data scientists, analysts, and business teams to consume data without deep pipeline knowledge.  Partner with stakeholders to translate business questions into clear,   accurate   metrics.  Ensure data accuracy,   freshness,   and consistency across reporting surfaces  Implement testing,   documentation,   and quality checks for data analytics      The esse ntial requirements of the job include: 8+ years of experience in analytics engineering, reporting, or business intelligence roles Advanced expertise in PySpark and building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for analytics and reporting Hands-on delivery of Fabric or Databricks lakehouse solutions using medallion architecture (Dataflow Gen2, Fabric Pipelines, PySpark Notebooks, OneLake/Lakehouse) Strong command of Power BI architecture, including DirectQuery, Composite Models, RLS/OLS, and dashboards Proven experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and designing high‑volume, highly available cloud data pipelines on Azure or AWS   Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:   Ability to travel to Washington DC and global Danaher sites, up to 10%    It would be a plus if you also   possess   previous   experience in:     Experience with modern data warehouses (Snowflake,   BigQuery, Redshift)  Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)  K nowledge of data governance, metadata management , and data quality frameworks     Danaher offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
