Job Description Summary Job Description Required Qualifications: High School Education or GED equivalency. 3 years machine shop operations experience. Understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation. Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools (crimpers, soldering iron, wire strippers, brazing equipment, etc.), as well as measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, rulers, etc.). Basic understanding of mathematical principles (conversions to decimal system, geometry, basic math, etc.). Prior working knowledge of machine shop experience. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Operate CNC equipment. Operate any time and size of single spindle or multiple spindles on a variety of operations (drilling, reaming, boring, tapping, spot facing, countersinking, etc.). Use all tools, jigs, figures, and gauges necessary to perform operations. Set up and operate lathes, drill presses, milling machines, grinders, and hand tools to fabricate parts and tools. Check for proper tooling, sharpness, and alignment. Work with close tolerances and fine finishes. Perform tool offset and load parts. Operate multiple machines simultaneously. Perform duties on complex prototypes or first-time builds. Compliantly troubleshoot tools, fixtures, and equipment as necessary. Perform job responsibilities according to internal process specifications and third-party requirements. Participate in, and support, team initiatives. Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures. Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach. Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products. Participate in and support team initiatives. Receive guidance from experienced employees. Understand and abides by the GE behaviors. Other duties as assigned. Desired Qualifications & Characteristics: 3-5 years’ machine shop experience in a manufacturing environment. Prior education/training in machine shop operations. Understanding of CNC and manual machine operations. Basic programming knowledge to include reading editing of programs. Prior experience in a self-directed teaming environment. Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn. Transparent: shares critical thinking information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively. Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed. Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision maker, collaborative. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close 4/30/26.
