Job Description Summary This role is responsible for ensuring the timely availability and accurate flow of aircraft materials and parts to support engine assembly and production needs. This includes analyzing inventory data, identifying, and resolving material issues, coordinating with Production Control, Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations, and utilizing electronic databases to maintain data accuracy. The position requires daily monitoring of production schedules, resolving part shortages, preparing engine sets, and prioritizing critical materials in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. A strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and training requirements are essential. The person in this position will sit onsite at one of GE Aerospace's suppliers. Job Description Essential Functions: Analyze and review data to assure proper disposition of materials and parts, including identification of miss-allocated parts, rerouting as appropriate and processing required paperwork. Work for quick resolution to support Production with strong sense of urgency by responding to the shop’s needs with inquiries to any materials issues. Ensure parts are stored accordingly to prevent damage and contamination. Coordinate with supplier production teams  and/or the part family to expedite aircraft materials via repair, subcontract, and/or supplied to maintain production needs as well as customer needs, both internal and external. Accumulate and account for all parts numbers on a daily basis to meet engine assembly requirements. Prepare parts required for engine sets by completing a thorough review of inventory and resolving any outstanding issues. Lead daily management, planning daily tasks, and activities in order to meet production goals in coordination with supplier team members, escalating support needed to leadership Monitor and communicate the production schedule/board daily to ensure the required actions for all parts required for the next engine set. Run reports daily to have visibility of outstanding materials issues as it pertains to production scheduling. Utilize electronic databases in order to retrieve information regarding aircraft parts inventory, manufacturing model and serial numbers, and pertinent information to ensure accuracy and integrity of all data. Adhere to all safety procedures in the performance of the job. Complete training as required. Work in a fast-paced, high demand environment that requires constant change. Able to adjust to any/all demands in order to meet production needs and customer commits. Technical Skills:  Materials Management: Proficiency in tracking, routing, and managing materials and parts within a production or manufacturing environment. Inventory Control: Ability to review and reconcile inventory, identify discrepancies, and ensure parts availability for production schedules. ERP/MRP Systems Knowledge: Experience using electronic databases or enterprise systems (such as Cloudsuite, SAP, Oracle, or other inventory systems) to retrieve and update parts and materials data. Production Planning & Scheduling: Understanding of production timelines and the ability to align materials flow with schedule requirements. Data Analysis: Capability to interpret data and reports related to material shortages, part statuses, and inventory to support decision-making Soft Skills & Competencies: Sense of Urgency & Responsiveness: Ability to respond quickly and effectively to support production needs, especially in high-demand environments. Problem Solving: Strong analytical thinking to resolve material shortages, identify root causes of issues, and implement effective solutions. Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communication skills to coordinate with multiple departments including Production Control, Engineering, Purchasing, and Operations. Adaptability & Flexibility: Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and able to adjust to shifting priorities or production changes. Required Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of applicable experience). 3 years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain.
