Job Summary Synechron is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to bridge business requirements with technical data solutions in enterprise environments. This role involves gathering and analyzing complex processes, translating needs into detailed technical specifications, and leading the design of scalable ETL pipelines and data models supporting analytics and reporting. Your expertise will enable data-driven decision-making, ensure data quality, and promote compliance with security standards, supporting organizational growth and operational excellence. Software Requirements Required: Proficiency in SQL and data warehousing tools in versions supporting complex data models (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) (8+ years) Extensive experience with ETL tools such as Informatica , Talend , or similar (8+ years) Proven track record designing and managing ETL pipelines supporting analytics platforms Knowledge of big data tools and cloud data platforms supporting large-scale data processing Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools like JIRA and Confluence Strong understanding of security and compliance standards in data management (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms supporting data solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) Knowledge of data governance tools and metadata management Exposure to big data technologies like Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka Overall Responsibilities Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation for enterprise data projects Design, develop, and oversee ETL pipelines , data models, and data architecture solutions that support analytics objectives Collaborate with business, data science, and technical teams to define scalable, secure, and regulation-compliant data solutions Conduct impact analysis and feasibility assessments for new or existing data initiatives Ensure data quality, security, and compliance standards are maintained Support data migration, transformation, and reporting activities supporting enterprise analytics and BI tools Facilitate data governance practices, metadata management, and audit requirements Deliver detailed technical specifications, process flows, and documentation for operational use Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize data workflows for efficiency Technical Skills (By Category) Languages & Data Tools (Essential): SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) supporting complex data models ETL tools: Informatica, Talend, or similar supporting large enterprise data pipelines Preferred: Python, Spark, or other scripting/tools supporting automation and data processing Data & Architecture: Data modeling, data lineage, and enterprise data governance Knowledge of distributed data systems and big data processing frameworks Cloud & Governance: Cloud deployment: AWS, Azure, or GCP (preferred) supporting data platform scalability Metadata management and compliance frameworks supporting enterprise standards Experience Requirements 8+ years managing large-scale data integration, ETL pipelines, or data architecture projects in enterprise environments Proven experience designing scalable, secure, and compliant data solutions supporting analytics and BI initiatives Background working with relational and distributed database systems supporting regulated industries (finance, healthcare, etc.) Experience with cloud data deployment and governance frameworks (preferred) Day-to-Day Activities Engage with business stakeholders to clarify data needs and define detailed technical specifications Lead the design and implementation of ETL pipelines and data architecture supporting analytics reporting Conduct data validation, transformation, and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and integrity Collaborate with data scientists, BI teams, and developers on system integrations and data models Support data migration, performance tuning, and system upgrades Monitor data workflows and troubleshoot issues to assure reliability and security Document data architecture, processes, and governance policies supporting compliance audits Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality, security, and operational efficiency Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field 8+ years leading enterprise data projects supporting analytics and reporting Certifications in data management, cloud solutions, or data governance (desired) Proven track record in delivering scalable, compliant, and high-quality data solutions supporting enterprise goals Professional Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex data workflows Excellent stakeholder management and communication capabilities Leadership qualities to guide teams, enforce standards, and mentor junior staff Strategic thinking supporting scalable and compliant data solutions Continuous learner with a focus on emerging data technologies, governance, and security standards Results-oriented approach supporting operational excellence and data integrity   S​ YNECHRON’S DIVERSITY & INCLUSION STATEMENT   Diversity & Inclusion are fundamental to our culture, and Synechron is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
