Job Summary: The Mechanical Engineer-NPD Entry Analyst is responsible for supporting the new product development (NPD) team in the design and development of mechanical components and systems. This role involves assisting in the creation of design specifications, conducting basic engineering analyses, and providing support to senior engineers and supervisors. The Entry Analyst works closely with various departments to ensure that new products meet design and performance requirements. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and participating in design reviews. Responsibilities: Data Analysis and Management • Collect and organize data related to new product development projects • Identify trends and patterns in data to inform decision-making processes • Maintain databases and data systems for efficient tracking and reporting Project Coordination • Communicate with cross functional teams to gather project information and updates • Create and maintain project timelines and schedules • Monitor project progress and provide status reports to stakeholders Product Research and Development • Conduct research on new product ideas and technologies • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop new product concepts • Assist with prototyping and testing of new products Documentation and Reporting • Prepare and maintain technical documentation for new products • Generate reports on project milestones, budget, and performance • Create presentations for project updates and product proposals Quality Assurance • Ensure products meet quality standards and regulations • Conduct quality tests and inspections on new products • Identify and troubleshoot any issues during the development process Cost Analysis and Budgeting • Analyze project costs and make recommendations for cost saving measures • Monitor project budget and expenses • Assist with creating budget proposals for new product development projects. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience of 0-1 year that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. • Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Creo, AutoCAD). • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
