Saalex  is seeking an  Engineering Technician VI -Fabrication in  China Lake/Ridgecrest, CA.  Saalex is an Engineering and Information Technology Services company with a focus on Test Range Operations and Management, Engineering and Logistics Services, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Services and Information Technology Services. Position Type:  Full-Time Salary:  $29.95-47.50/hour (depending upon expereince) Work Location:  Fully onsite. Job Summary: The Fabrication Incumbent will be a key member of the AMTD team, responsible for a wide range of fabrication and welding tasks. This individual will work closely with engineers, metallurgists, and technicians to develop and refine fabrication techniques and practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and metallurgy and a passion for innovation in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: Operate lathes, mills, and other machine shop machines to fabricate components. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate production. Maintain equipment, ensuring it is in good working order. Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize production processes. Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards. Required: Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant machining experience. Proficiency in operating lathes, mills, and various machining equipment. Must have strong attention to detail and precision. Must have problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to tasks. Must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Certifications: Relevant certifications are a plus and will be considered valuable. Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Active Secret Clearance preferred. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
