Saalex  is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst Intern  in  Washington DC. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and talented individual to join our team in the dynamic field of defense contracting. Position Type:  Part-Time/Temporary ~30-40 hours per week Salary:  $17.95-$18.75 hourly (depending on experience) Work Location:  Onsite. Essential Functions: Immerse yourself in the rapidly growing aerospace and defense contracting market, gaining exposure to key players in the small business and middle market sectors. Build and refine financial models and analyze data for real-world defense contracting projects that drive industry impact. Collaborate closely with experienced industry professionals, benefiting from personalized mentorship to enhance your skills and knowledge of defense contracts. Showcase your abilities through a final project presented to Saalex's Corporate Development and Finance teams, demonstrating your potential for future career opportunities Other duties as assigned or required. Required: Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a keen attention to detail Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, or similar) Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Passion for the aerospace and defense industry and a desire to learn and grow in the field.
