Join the power movement as Project Engineering Manager   Leading a team responsible for activities relating to design and construction engineering across all disciplines. Duties include working with engineering teams in the planning, sequencing, assembling, and issuing of construction Work Packages; development of installation specifications, 3D model coordination, interpreting design drawings and specifications, field verification of materials, monitoring construction progress, response to questions by constructors, providing direction in the field to ensure construction is in compliance with engineering documentation and developing handover packages to commissioning.\n What you'll do:<ul> <li>Direct technical oversight of construction contractors for all CFS systems</li> <li>Own construction change management system</li> <li>Report weekly construction progress and issues to project managers</li> <li>Develop and maintain standards for construction work packages, specifications, and all other construction documentation across one or multiple projects</li> <li>Interface with System Responsible Officers to maintain quality, schedule and budget for developing and executing engineered systems</li> <li>Coordinate with engineering on constructability and design issues relating to plant systems</li> <li>Identify the content of engineering document packages (Work Packages) required to support construction activities in the field</li> <li>Plan, sequence, assemble, and issue construction Work Packages</li> <li>Establish strong working relationships with the engineering teams responsible for the various process systems to facilitate conversion of engineering/design to physical plant</li> <li>Oversee the maintenance of construction configuration management</li> <li>Track, report, and forecast activities in the field</li> <li>Coordinate with the Procurement Organization for field procured materials, material substitution, services, and equipment</li> <li>Review material receiving reports and warehousing to assure delivery of correct materials</li> <li>Coordinate the preparation of cost reports, forecasts, and progress reports</li> <li>Coordinate with Field Supervision and Subcontractors to plan/support construction schedules</li> <li>Recommend and implement procedures to ensure construction remains in compliance with the requirements of engineering and design</li> <li>Ensure engineering and procurement provide timely delivery of drawings, materials, and equipment</li> <li>Support the construction quality program</li> <li>Support problem solving in the field and serve as liaison between Construction and Engineering</li> <li>Support development and implementation of the Request for Information (RFI) process between Construction and CFS engineering</li> <li>Develop turnover packages in accordance with defined system / sub-system breakdown</li> <li>Track pending issues and actions impacting system turnover</li> <li>Coordinate and facilitate system walkdowns</li> <li>Review field generated inspection records for quality and completeness</li> <li>Review field generated punch list items for quality and completeness and progress in project</li> </ul> What we’re looking for:<ul> <li>BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or other engineering discipline</li> <li>Minimum 10 years in industrial plant design and construction environment</li> <li>Knowledge of the process to engineer, design and construct complex industrial projects</li> <li>Familiar with construction change management</li> <li>Experience using 3D model</li> <li>Knowledge of heavy industrial codes and standards</li> <li>Good knowledge base across all construction disciplines (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & Controls)</li> <li>Excellent communication skills</li> </ul> Bonus points for: <ul><li>Experience leading a team of project or field engineers for large industrial construction projects</li><li>Certification in engineering management or construction management</li></ul> Must-have requirements: <ul><li>Perform activities such as stooping, climbing, typing, standing, or sitting for extended periods of time</li><li>Willingness to occasionally travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call</li><li>Work in a facility that contains industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics</li></ul> \n<div>$110,000 - $185,000 a year</div><div>Salary range for this full-time position + equity + benefits. The actual salary will depend on level, location, qualifications, and experience.
