These entire job function collaborates with other staff in varies departments at DNWest, and within the community of hospitals and coroner/medical examiner offices.</span></p>\n<p></p><p><br></p><b>ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</b><ul><li>Responds promptly and appropriately to potential donor referrals to assess suitability and enhance the donation process.</li><li>Conducts chart reviews and determines medical suitability in conjunction with DNWest clinical staff.&nbsp; Understands and accurately maintains donor information and charting.</li><li>Assesses hemodynamic stability and develops strategies in conjunction with DNWest clinical staff to maintain organ function.</li><li>Collaborates with physician and other hospital personnel to develop plan for referral management from initial referral through declaration of death/donation after cardiac death evaluation.</li><li>Provides education to hospital staff about the donation process.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </li><li>Reviews medical-legal documentation pertaining to brain death, ensures declaration is completed according to hospital policy and in accordance with American Association of Neurology Guidelines.</li><li>Provides emotional support and expertise in donation process for donor families and utilizes DNWest staff or hospital resources, as needed.</li></ul><p><br></p><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><ul><li>Strong organizational skills.</li><li>Works well under pressure.</li><li>Ability to communicate and present information effectively and concisely within a team environment.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills.</li><li>Proactive team player who can multitask with ease and uphold organizational core values.</li><li>Strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills.&nbsp; Thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment and adjusts to new priorities as required.</li></ul><p><br></p><b>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</b><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in allied or health science or equivalent experience.</li><li>Licensed vocational nurse, emergency medical technician, paramedic, or registered respiratory therapist preferred.</li><li>Previous organ procurement organization experience preferred.</li><li>Experience in medical/critical care field preferred.</li></ul><p><br></p><p></p>\n<div>$37.86 - $52.06 an hour</div>\n<p><span style="font-size: 16px;">Donor Network West takes a market-based approach to pay. All candidates' starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications and interview performance.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style="font-size: 16px;">Our job listings’ compensation ranges include location-based differentials but may not be reflective of a candidate’s final base salary.
