Reporting to the controller, this position may manage one or more accounting staff, and collaborates closely with members of the finance leadership team.</p> <p></p> <p></p>\n<p></p><p><br></p><b>What will you be doing at Woodard &amp; Curran?&nbsp;</b><div> <ul> <li><span role="presentation">Manage financial reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.</span></li> <li><span role="presentation">Develop and support implementation of accounting policies designed to promote compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.</span></li> <li><span role="presentation">Ensure adequate documentation of policies and controls for key corporate accounting areas such as fixed assets, equity incentive plans, insurance plans, leases, joint ventures, intercompany and consolidation.</span></li> <li><span role="presentation">Stay current on GAAP developments and assist in evaluating their financial impact, research accounting treatment for new transactions, and work with auditors to ensure appropriate accounting treatments.</span></li> <li><span role="presentation">Oversee the development of schedules for audits, including the financial statement and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) overhead rate audits. Respond to audit inquiries. Review audit reports and schedules for accuracy of financial disclosures.</span></li> <li><span role="presentation">Collaborate with the controller and accounting manag</span><span role="presentation">ers </span><span role="presentation">to ensure effectiveness of and compliance with internal controls over financial reporting.
