We're on the hunt for a top-tier Embedded Software Designer. You will be developing on-board software for our next generation of satellites, supporting both space and ground systems. You'll be relied upon for input and decisions that will directly impact design and operation. \n Key Responsibilities:<ul> <li>Develop reliable, high-quality C and C++ code</li> <li>Develop Embedded Linux drivers and applications</li> <li>Design, implement, and integrate interfaces to modern avionics sensors, IoT devices, and payloads</li> <li>Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews</li> <li>Work with electrical, digital design, and operations teams to identify required features and solidify the system architecture</li> </ul> Required Skills & Qualifications:<ul> <li>3+ years of embedded software development experience</li> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent</li> <li>Strong software design and development skills, including algorithms, testing and debugging</li> <li>Proficiency in C/C++, especially in embedded topics such as interrupt handlers, concurrency, memory-mapped peripherals, and hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, CAN)</li> <li>Experience with embedded operating systems and build systems, including OpenEmbedded/Yocto and FreeRTOS</li> <li>Experience developing for Embedded Linux, including writing kernel modules, device trees, and drivers</li> <li>Familiarity with common version control (git) and build systems (CMake, Meson, or similar)</li> <li>Demonstrated record of strong communication skills, and thriving in a collaborative development environment</li> </ul> Bonus Points: <ul> <li>Experience developing software for aerospace applications</li> <li>Experience developing multi-stage bootloaders</li> <li>Strong knowledge of modern networking protocols</li> <li>Proven background thriving within fast-paced environments, particularly within startup or R&D settings</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly and innovate under pressure to meet dynamic project demands</li> </ul> \n<div>$131,100 - $181,100 a year</div><div>Disclaimer: Where a specific pay range is noted, it is a good faith estimate at the time of this posting.
