This individual will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and driving process improvements to support our continued expansion across multiple markets, including international.</p> <p>Located in Arlington, Virginia and reporting to the Director of Accounting, this is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing, investor-backed organization with a desire to be the leader in the studio fitness space.</p> <p><br><br><br></p>\n<p></p><p><br></p><b>Responsibilities:</b><div> <ul> <li>Own the monthly close for key accounting processes (including ASC 842 and Corporate Accruals), ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with reporting deadlines</li> <li>Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP</li> <li>Implement and maintain internal controls to support a strong control environment</li> <li>Continuously identify and drive process improvements to scale the accounting function efficiently</li> <li>Participate in the annual audit processes with external auditors</li> </ul> </div><p><br></p><b>Qualifications:</b><div> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field</li> <li>CPA license</li> <li>4+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role</li> <li>Strong knowledge of US GAAP, particularly revenue recognition (ASC 606) and lease accounting (ASC 842)&nbsp;</li> <li>Proven track record of managing tight deadline</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail</li> <li>Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software and systems including Alteryx and Tableau</li> <li>Must be local to the Arlington/DMV area</li> </ul> </div><p><br></p><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b><div> <ul> <li>Multi-location retail, or membership-based business experience&nbsp;</li> <li>NetSuite and Workday experience</li> <li>Public accounting experience</li> <li>Experience in fitness, wellness, consumer services, restaurant or brick-and-mortar retail industry</li> <li>Private equity or investor-backed company experience</li> </ul> </div><p><br></p><b>Compensation and Benefits:</b><div> <ul> <li>Competitive starting salary, based on experience</li> <li>Bonus eligibility based on performance</li> <li>Monthly cell phone stipend</li> <li>401k with employer match</li> <li>Health, dental, &amp; vision insurance</li> <li>Flexible PTO</li> <li>Free drop in classes at [solidcore]</li> <li>And MORE</li> </ul> </div><p><br></p><p></p>\n
