You’ll lead and develop a team of Payroll Officers across brands, partner closely with Finance and People &amp; Culture, and provide senior leadership with confidence that payroll systems, controls and compliance obligations are managed accurately and effectively.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Reporting to the VP Finance &amp; Operations (Petal &amp; Pup), this role sits at the intersection of payroll delivery, compliance, governance, and operational decision-making. You’ll play a critical role in enabling growth, protecting the business, and supporting a strong employee experience.</span></p>\n<p></p><p><br></p><b>What you’ll be doing</b><ul><li>Lead end-to-end payroll operations across Princess Polly and Petal &amp; Pup, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and consistency</li><li>Manage and develop Payroll Officers across both brands, building capability.&nbsp;</li><li>Own payroll governance, compliance and risk management, ensuring adherence to all relevant Australian payroll legislation and awards</li><li>Act as the escalation point for complex payroll matters, audits, and external stakeholders (ATO, auditors, regulators)</li><li>Oversee statutory reporting, including PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax, STP, ESS and other regulatory obligations</li><li>Lead the operational ownership and optimisation of the Rippling payroll platform, including award interpretation, system configuration, testing and change management</li><li>Partner closely with Finance, People &amp; Culture (TX), and Technology to ensure payroll systems and processes support business growth</li><li>Drive continuous improvement through automation, process optimisation and strong payroll controls</li></ul><p><br></p><b>Why join us</b><ul><li>Shape the future of payroll across two growing global brands and influence how we scale responsibly and efficiently.</li><li>Step into a role with real ownership, influence and visibility</li><li>Be part of a collaborative, high-performing finance team</li><li>Flexible working options and a culture that values balance</li><li>The opportunity to shape payroll governance as the business scales</li></ul><p><br></p><b>What we’re looking for</b><ul><li>Extensive experience leading payroll in a complex, multi award environment</li><li>Strong working knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards and statutory obligations</li><li>Proven experience managing payroll compliance, governance frameworks and audits</li><li>Demonstrated experience leading and developing payroll teams</li><li>Proven hands on experience with payroll systems, with Rippling experience highly advantageous.
