This role is responsible for establishing robust manufacturing processes, production systems, and quality practices to support low-volume, high-value products from prototype through production.  You will work closely with engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure products are manufacturable, traceable, and built to the required standards in a regulated environment.  \n What you'll do:<div>Manufacturing & Production Engineering:</div> <ul> <li>Develop, document, and maintain manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions for mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical assemblies. </li> <li>Support small production runs of high-value products, including occasional hands-on involvement to validate and refine manufacturing processes.  </li> <li>Establish and continuously improve production workflows, tooling, fixtures, and assembly methods. </li> <li>Act as the primary manufacturing interface for engineering teams, providing input on DFM, and DFA. </li> </ul> <div>Quality Systems & Compliance: </div> <ul> <li>Operate within and help maintain an ISO 9001 compliant manufacturing environment. </li> <li>Develop manufacturing records, support test reports and build documentation to ensure traceability and repeatability. </li> <li>Support internal and external audits and drive corrective and preventive actions as needed. </li> <li>Collaborate with quality teams to ensure production meets defined quality and reliability requirements. </li> </ul> <div>Production Environment & Operations:</div> <ul> <li>Establish and manage production infrastructure, including equipment selection, calibration, maintenance, and tooling procurement. </li> <li>Support production builds through quality control checks, non-conforming material handling, and troubleshooting. </li> <li>Support production planning, scheduling, and on-time delivery of assemblies. </li> </ul> <div>Systems & Data:</div> <ul> <li>Support the implementation and use of ERP, PLM, and PDM systems to manage production data, BOMs, revisions, and work orders. </li> <li>Ensure alignment between engineering data and manufacturing execution. </li> </ul> Required qualifications:<ul> <li>7–10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or production engineering, preferably in an optical, aerospace, defence, or other regulated industries. </li> <li>Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems. </li> <li>Demonstrated experience developing manufacturing processes, work instructions, and production documentation. </li> <li>Experience supporting low-volume, high-complexity, high-value products. </li> <li>Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. </li> </ul> Preferred qualifications:<ul> <li>Proven ability to establish or scale a production environment. </li> <li>Familiarity with ERP, PLM, and PDM systems. </li> </ul> \n#LI-FB1 #LD Salary compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location.
